Accommodation
What accommodation do you offer?
In short, we offer accommodation in chalets with both twin and suite room options. Moreover, each unit has a stylish lounge, dining area and private bathroom. In addition, the kitchenette is fully fitted for self-catering. Furthermore, all chalets have barbecue areas.
Do the chalets offer views?
Two of the chalets boast views over the valley, while two others offer garden views.
What are check in/out times?
You may check in at 14h00. Further, you will need to check out by 10h00.
Do you have a child policy?
We welcome children of all ages. In addition, we consider children 12 and above as adults.
Are pets allowed?
In brief, unfortunately we do not allow pets on the farm.
Services and activities
Do you offer meals?
We provide two breakfast options. In this case, we deliver both to your chalet. To begin with, we offer a scrumptious English / Irish breakfast. Alternatively, you can order from an à la carte menu. Also, we offer delicious packed lunches on request.
What services do you offer?
Of course, we want you to enjoy your holiday. Therefore, we provide daily housekeeping, private check-in/out, concierge, packed lunches, laundry and ironing (at an extra fee) and room service.
What activities does Rorke’s Drift Lodge offer?
We offer a range of activities / services (charges may apply). Therefore, you may go cycling, hiking, walking, horse riding or quad biking. Moreover, you can book historical and cultural tours / classes, swim and watch birds. Also, we offer board games and puzzles for family fun. Further, you can also relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounds.

How big is the farm on which Rorke’s Drift Lodge is situated?
We are situated on Shepleigh Farm. In short, the farm is a sizeable 314 ha.
How do I get to Rorke’s Drift Lodge from the nearest airport?
The driving distance is 86 km from both Newcastle Airport and Ulundi Airport. Further, part of the journey is on an unpaved road. Consequently, some vehicles may find the rough terrain difficult to navigate.
How far is Rorke’s Drift Lodge from the centre of Rorkeʼs Drift?
The farm is 1.2 km from the centre of Rorkeʼs Drift.
